  2. The suffix "-ito" or "-ita" indicates that something is a diminutive form of something else. So, a mosquito would be a smaller form of a mosquo, and a dorito would be a small doro, if mosquos and doros were actual words. Likewise, a señorita is a younger form of a señora.

    Personally, I would have thrown a burro at him.
